INSIDE MY HOSPITAL BAG

INSIDE MY HOSPITAL BAG

Putting together a hospital bag can be an emotional (and intimidating) experience for a soon-to-be mama. The last thing you want to be doing on your trip to the hospital is worrying you forgot something. Trust me, you’ll have enough going on. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, check out my list and compare it with a few others you find online. Everyone has opinions about things they think you absolutely need (like lip chap, people panic about lip chap and I never touched the one I packed). The reality is, checking out people’s checklists might give you ideas about things you forgot to consider, and it serves as a good base to get you started. A big thing is getting all of it to fit in a reasonable bag; you don’t want to look like you’re moving in and you don’t want to lug all that stuff home when you’re bringing home baby. Stick to travel sized items where you can, and for other things try to shop small (like the mini sample sizes of face cream offered by Lunah Life). Most of all have fun with it! Lay out those little baby outfits and imagine snuggling your new best friend in them (ugly cry face), it’s a special right of passage packing that bag. So do it with care and soak it in!

Another tip, keep it close! Towards the middle/end of your third trimester make sure you always have you go-bag ready and with you at all times. You might as well, because you never know when you’re gonna, you know…
